Trained volunteers are a very important
part of our team. They are caring, helpful people who are available to provide
companionship, read, play music, listen, run errands, prepare meals, help
with household chores or yard work, and give a few hours a week "relief"
to family and caregivers by spending time with our patients.
Volunteers undergo an organized training
program. Areas covered by these training programs include understanding hospice,
confidentiality, working with families, listening skills, signs and symptoms
of approaching death, grief and bereavement support.
We hold all our volunteers in high
regard and invite you to join our team. For details on how to volunteer in
any of these roles, click here.
